TERMS & CONDITIONS
 
I. DEFINITION

'BP Castrol' means BP Castrol Lubricants (M) Sdn Bhd.

 

'Castrol EZ Rewards' is defined as the Redemption Programme run by BP Castrol.

 

'Gift Items' means the products available for redemption on the Castrol EZ Rewards.

 

'Government Official' means:

 

  1. any executive, legislative or judicial branch official (whether elected or appointed);
  2. an employee or representative of any government (whether at a national, state/provincial or local level);
  3. any official or employee of any government agency or instrumentality (including military, police and customs);
  4. any director, officer or employee of any government-owned or controlled enterprise (e.g., national oil company, national airline, national railway or national shipping company; or state owned educational institution);
  5. any official or employee of a public international organization (e.g., World Bank, United Nations, International Monetary Fund);
  6. any political parties, political party officials or candidates for political office; or
  7. a member of a royal or ruling family.

'Member' is defined as the participating BP Castrol customer.

 

'Reward Catalogue' is defined as the featured items offered to Members in exchange for sufficient amount of points.

 

'Membership' means those arrangements by which a Member agrees to participate in the Castrol EZ Rewards and receives points by purchasing qualifying Castrol products from BP Castrol or BP Castrol appointed distributor under these Terms and Conditions.

 

'Agency' is the appointed third party company who managed the online Castrol EZ Rewards on behalf of BP Castrol.

 

'Business Partners' are defined as Distributors, Agency or Staff, which are appointed by BP Castrol for purposes of managing various aspects of the Scheme.

 

II. ELIGIBILITY & PARTICIPATION

  1. Open to all registered active accounts with BP Castrol and appointed distributors.
  2. Government Officials are not eligible to participate.
  3. BP Castrol may terminate a membership without notice and for any reason, including if the Member
    1. Fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions:
    2. Supplies any misleading information or makes any misrepresentations to BP Castrol or Business Partners in connection with the Scheme; or
    3. Performs any action(s) which BP Castrol believes in its absolute discretion is prejudicial to BP Castrol's interests; or
    4. Engages in any fraudulent activities under the Scheme; or
    5. Has ceased business, has overdue account or is declared a bankrupt.

III. POINTS EARNING AND REDEMPTION

  1. Points will be recorded in a Member's account for redemption of qualifying products. BP Castrol will from time to time determine which products are qualifying products and the number of points that will be recorded in a Member's Account for such purchases. BP Castrol reserves the right to change product point's value without prior notification to Members.
  2. All purchases and transactions made by Members during trade promotion periods will earn points which are not transferable to any other Member, individual or entity. For more information on the points earnings issued by BP Castrol, please refer to respective trade mechanism announced throughout the year.
  3. The points used to redeem items in this Castrol EZ Rewards are points earned by the Member from purchases made for purposes of personal or business only. BP Castrol reserves the final right on the award of points for respective promotion.
  4. The following transactions will NOT qualify for allocation of points:
    1. Free bottles of lubricants
    2. Goods returned
  5. One EZ Point is equivalent to RM0.10.
  6. Voucher redemption is limited to a maximum of 20,000 EZ Points per account per calendar year. 
  7. Redemption of Gift Items by Members with insufficient points will be rejected. The only available option for this Castrol EZ Rewards is the full redemption of points.
  8. BP Castrol reserves the right to change the conversion rate, to deduct or re-compute any points earned to the Members for the purpose of correcting any errors or inaccuracies in the allocation of the points without prior notice to the Members.
  9. BP Castrol's decision will be final should any dispute arises from the Castrol EZ Rewards.

IV. POINTS VALIDITY

  1. Points earned in a particular year are redeemable up to the last day of the 2nd quarter of the following calendar year. Please find below a sample table depicting the points accumulated and the applicable expiry date:

V. NOTICE OF ACCUMULATED POINTS

  1. Members can access the points update via the online monthly statement reflected in their account.
  2. All transactions related to redemption or points balance can be viewed and printed.
  3. Half yearly statement will be sent by the Agency to the Member's registered address or email.

VI. REDEMPTION OF GIFT ITEMS

  1. The completed redemption order form must be submitted online by Member and once accepted, the order STRICTLY CANNOT be revoked, cancelled, returned or exchanged. All redeemed points will be deducted from the Member's account.
  2. BP Castrol will not be liable for any death, injury, direct or consequential loss, theft or damage of any nature that the Member may suffer arising from redemption of the Gift Item.
  3. BP Castrol gives no representation or warranty on the quality of the Gift Item(s) or their suitability for any purpose and will not be responsible for any dispute that may arise between the Member and the manufacturer or supplier.
  4. Choice of Gift Item(s) is/are subject to stock availability.

VII. HOW TO REDEEM POINTS

  1. First time users are required to register and create your Member account.
  2. To check for your available points, please ensure that you have already registered as an online Member.
  3. To start redemption of your points, please login with your registered e-mail address and password.
  4. Start browsing and selecting the items that you wish to redeem.
  5. Click the "Add to Cart" icon to add more items to your reward cart.
  6. To checkout, please click "Continue" or you may select "Redeem More" if you wish to continue.
  7. Key-in your shipping details including address, name and contact number.
  8. Once you have checked out, the new points balance will be updated in your Member account.
  9. Please allow a few seconds for the redemption transaction to be processed.
  10. SMS and email notifications will be sent to Member upon order confirmation and shipment status.
  11. The order is now completed and you may print a copy of the receipt as record of the redemption made and to track the delivery of the items redeemed.

VIII. FULFILLMENT/DELIVERY OF GIFT ITEMS

  1. Member is required to provide a valid address in Malaysia for delivery of the Gift Item(s) to the Member. No change of address is allowed once the redemption order has been submitted.
  2. For the purposes of delivery, information pertaining to the Member such as name, delivery address and contact numbers will be furnished to the courier agent for this Castrol EZ Rewards.
  3. To accept the Gift Item(s), Member or authorized representative are required to present identification, i.e. NRIC, MyKad to the delivery agent, failing which the agent has the right to refuse delivery and will return the Gift Item(s) back to the Agency as unclaimed.
  4. If the Member's delivery address is an office or business address, an acknowledgement by any office staff will be treated as acknowledgement on receipt of goods of Member's receipt of the Gift Item(s).
  5. Delivery of the Gift Items will be made not later than fourteen (14) Business Days of completion by the Member of the redemption online. Delivery Docket Number will be updated via both email and SMS to Member after order status has been updated as "Shipped".
  6. No delivery will be made to P.O. Box addresses as well as addresses outside Malaysia.
  7. In the event that the Member is unavailable to receive the items redeemed at the intended address, Member is required to liaise directly with the appointed courier agent as stated in the "attempt" dropped by the agent and to rearrange for re-delivery within two (2) Business Days from the date of attempted delivery.
  8. All charges for second and subsequent delivery attempts due to unsuccessful delivery by the courier agent will be borne by Members.
  9. BP Castrol reserves the right to debit loyalty points from the Member's account at the prevailing courier charges rate for the second and subsequent delivery attempts at the rate of 1 point to 20 sen (MYR).
  10. If Member does not receive the Gift Item(s) after two (2) Business Days from the order shipment date, it will be the Member's responsibility to inform the Agency on the non-receipt of item. If no query is received by the seventh (7th) business day from the delivery date, the Gift Item(s) ordered will be considered received and accepted in good order by the Member.
  11. Delivery will only be made against a written acknowledgement of receipt of the item at the address of delivery and where such address is an office address, by any Member of the office. Such acknowledgement shall be deemed to the acknowledgement by the Member.
  12. All Gift Item(s) offered and delivered to Member are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, except for manufacturing defect. If the gift item(s) are found to be damaged or faulty upon delivery, the Member is required to call Support Centre at telephone number: 03-80905068 within two (2) Business Days upon receipt of item. A replacement will be delivered within fourteen (14) Business Days upon receipt of the damaged or faulty item in its original state and packaging.
  13. All warranty certificate / receipt/proof of warranty (if product with warranty does not come with warranty card) must be presented at the relevant service counter before any repair or service.
  14. Risk in the Gift Item(s) shall pass to the Member upon delivery. Delivery is deemed to occur when the Member acknowledges receipt of the Gift Item(s) in writing on the delivery document attached to the Gift Item(s) on delivery. Without prejudice to the Member's rights of rejection, title to and ownership of any Gift Item(s) shall pass to the Member on delivery.

In the event of inconsistency or discrepancy between the English version and any of the other linguistic versions of this Terms & Conditions, the English language version shall prevail.
